Mostly about what we do and don't stand behind here, and why the page is deliberately short on detail.
Four of them, and they're the ones carrying a green badge: the Duck Stop, Alluvia chocolate, Tra Que vegetable village, and the hot springs park. We've been to those ourselves and would send you tomorrow. Everything else on the page is a place we've heard about and haven't tried, which is exactly how it's labelled.
Because we haven't checked them, and publishing numbers we haven't checked is how families end up driving an hour to somewhere that closed last season. Prices and hours in Hoi An move often. Where we found a place's own website or page we've linked it, so you can see the current details from the people who set them.
No. Every place on this list is independent, and none of it is part of a program or bundled into a co-living stay. The one thing that is ours is the Friday field trip we set up for the co-living cohort. A recent one took the tween girls to the hot springs water park, which is beautifully done, even for the parents.
Because the thing is real even when the paperwork isn't. Plenty of the best craft workshops here run on a phone number and word of mouth, and some of what's listed is a category rather than one business: coffee making, market tours, a Vietnamese tutor. We'd rather name it and say we couldn't find an official page than leave it off and have you never hear about it. Ask in the community and someone will have the current name.
Please do. That's how this page gets better, and it's the fastest way for it to stop being mostly unverified. A place that turned out to be closed, or nothing like it looked, is just as useful to hear about as one you loved.
Plenty. The river at night, the coconut boats, the beach, and the old town itself keep teaching without anyone signing up for anything, and the big days out section has the water park and the circus for when the whole family wants one large thing instead of several small ones. Hoi An does a lot of the work for you.
